Sequential Prophet X / Prophet X overlap with Waldorf Iridium ?

I'm seriously considering getting a PX while they are still in stock. However, I own a Waldorf Iridium KB, and I wonder if the two machines would overlap too much on the sampling part.
Opinions, advice, and experiences are welcome! Thanks in advance.

« Last post by joshxberrios on Today at 10:08:10 AM »I'm just using the demo version of Soundtower for OB-X8 just now to check it works for me but I'm having an issue on Mac only.
I appreciate the demo functionality is limited. But I have been able to connect OB-X8 to PC, open the midi setup from the main menu, configure it and see the buttons moving on screen when I twiddle the knobs on the synth.
On the mac the midi setup and all other windows do not appear while the OB-X8 is connected via USB. If I disconnect the synth from the Mac then the menu starts working.
My mac is relatively new and up to date OS wise. The OB-X8 has the latest firmware.
The PC works, so I don't believe there is an issue with OB-X8 global settings nor the USB cable, nor user error
Anyone else had / solved this issue? Thanks.
i just bought an obx8 to , have everything updated and downloaded, latest firmware everything but when i open the editor it saids OFFLINE always

OB-X8 / Next firmware update?

I'm wondering if a new one will ever be published to correct the bug where the Page 2 Aftertouch Amount parameter is not working when LFO mode is set to OB-8, and still sends the maximum amount? It works okay when LFO mode is set to OB-X/Xa.

OB-6 / Re: Calibration hangs when OB6 is on temperature
« Last post by RSTLFO on May 19, 2024, 10:10:31 PM »So it turns out it was OS 1.8 causing the issues after all. To recap, they were:
After warming up the slightest bit, the machine would go out of tune, and voices 5 & 6, would get noisy with hiss. Attempting to fix this with calibration would result in the unit freezing on 43, and sometimes 53 if it somehow made it through the former. Reverting back to 1.74 resolved the issues.

« Last post by katebishop on May 19, 2024, 07:39:34 PM »So after having my pro5 keyboard for 2 years and no issues ive had the module a few days and it seems like issue after issue.
The tuning is really strange , either the 5th voice will go out or the whole thing will instantly go totally out of tune, im used to the osc's drifting out of tune but never saw behavior like this before , hoping its not something more serious, does anyone have any ideas ?

Sudden tuning drops on your Pro 5 module are not normal. I think the reason could be due to calibration issues, loose connections, or faulty hardware.
