It's always a little ironic to me that the Prophet 5 section of the Sequential forum is often quite quiet, so I'm happy when I have some noise to contribute.
I posted here previously about running my P5 into an Effectron II. I've had the 5 running into that delay since I grabbed the latter. A heavenly pairing. Not stereo. I've said the Prophet 5 has such a full and present sound that effects or stereo-output are never anywhere near the front of my mind. Anyway, I plugged my wife's rev 3 in yesterday, to make sure it's still alive. Oh, it sounds wonderful, even with its various elf-breaking j-wires. I was walking back and forth across my studio, trying to match patches on her rev 3 and my rev 4. the rev 3 is running through an old Boss BX-800 while my new 5 runs through a Tascam Model 12. I'd never plugged mine into the Boss until I did, and yeah... THAT'S a sound. I've got the Boss set so that the P5 barely touches the red clipping indicators. Fuzzy, fat and warm - all the best synth terms, no?
I'm sure I'll soon plug back into the Tascam, but for now...
