Start and stop Loop/Sequencer

There is no start stop on the gated sequencer on the P8. Nor can i start it from my PEK. I can loop the Sequence with a sustain pedal.
Are there any other ways around starting, looping and synching a Sequence up with ex. My Poly Evolver Keyboard without using an iPad and a DAW.

You can use a midi controller/keyboard with programmable buttons. Just set one button to play a specific note and use 'trigger' (on/off) mode.
