Was able to fix this with the midi sysex firmware update. Mind you i had done the update successfully prior with usb stick. No idea what caused this, other then perhaps when loading samples I hit update additional content rather then switching to user the first time.... Either way, it seems to be back. I had in the process erased all my user banks bu luckily had the backed up. This is going to be very cool when they get it sorted so its perfectly smooth. Thanks !
duppyman - I had the exact same issue after updating OS to 2.1 from USB, the sysex update in boot loader mode fixed it for me too. Before boot loading my sample display would also go all white and snowy. I was worried but syses fixed.
By any chance did you use a USB 2.0 thumb drive instead of a 3.0 speed?
The manual did specify to use a USB 3.0 flash drive, but because you have to format it first I didn't have another one to copy my files from my only 3.0 stick so opted to format an empty 8GB USB 2.0 stick instead thinking speed wouldn't matter since I'm not transferring sample sets.
But it's possible that caused the issue. Nice to have the alternate option. I think the 2MB sysex took 10-15 mins to load using syses lib at 75% speed and 500ms delay and timeout. reset globals after and it's been perfect. the displays all go snowy on boot but then work fine. would be cool to have them wake up and show logos or something on boot but it's probably them powering before the OS is ready to control them.
