I thought I'd start a threat that's dedicated to sonic examples of the Pro 2.

Here's a demonstration of a couple of sounds I've programmed for the Pro 2:

Good stuff Paul, some great sounds you have created. Maybe this thread could be also used as a user soundbank area for free ones or maybe create a seperate thread for them? Cheers Glyn.

Thanks, Glyn!

And yes, the user soundbank idea is great. A separate thread might make it easier to find though. We could just name it "Patches and User Soundbanks."

Geese on a Pro 2?

While this piece uses a variety of synths- I thought I'd post this to show that the Pro 2 is capable of making those animal sounds I like to make- this time Geese ;D   ~ 2:08 min into it.   Also Pro 2 used for the "falling chimes" towards the end

Really nice! Lots of cool sounds in there. What did you use besides the Pro 2?

I like it, very different and open sounding, some great sounds too. Cheers Glyn.

Fascinating sounds and nice music.  The geese gave me a great laugh.

Re: Geese.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Paul D-    As for the other instruments I used: an Analog Solutions Red Square's ring modulator for the beginning bells.  All the long envelope pads are Access Virus Snow.  But all the more "staccoto" key parts were done by hooking a Pittsburgh Foundation II, Vermona Perfourmer, Red Square, and Doepfer Dark Energy together as to play paraphonically. I use a midi patchbox controller- I believe it's called Mondovox- or something like that.   I really like paraphonic ability which really lead me to the getting the Pro 2- whereas I can do pretty much the same thing with less effort and one instrument :)   However, once in a while it is fun to tinker with the modular stuff in this fashion.

Thanks for the info! That's a neat selection of tools you used there. And yes, I absolutely agree upon the paraphonic ability of the Pro 2.

My new band had its first performance last month. I used the Pro 2 for for sequenced baselines. The other synth is a Nord Lead A1; all the other instruments are non-electronic.

here's a sound cloud set with my early experiments with the PRO 2

These are not real and forethought musical compositions, but improvisations recorded in a single pass without any post prod or FX (apart from a slice of reverb)

Some sounds are edited presets, but most of them are programmed from scratch. In some cases, some modular sounds are added alongside the P2 (BugBrand and/or Serge).

Hope you'll enjoy

Thanks! Would sure be nice if we ever make it to London...not sure if that will happen. But we have some more shows coming up this year so I'll have more to post soon.

This is the closest example of the Pro 2 sounding lush.  It really is quite nice, and if only there was a Pro 2 Module for creating a stereo pair, I'd say the result would be an impressive instrument with a gorgeous sound.  I suppose the Prophet 12 is ultimately that instrument, but I haven't heard it sound this good.

I don't believe that the Prophet-12 is that instrument–but I'm certainly open to re-considering it again.

On the other hand, a Pro-2 module (or something along those lines) would definitely be awesome on its own (even without a built-in sequencer), and really special in stereo.
