Pro 3 Pitch/Mod Wheels Getting Sticky — Fixable or Replaceable?

Hi! I just noticed that the pitch bend and mod wheels on my Pro 3 have become pretty sticky/tacky to the touch.

The synth has been kept under a Decksaver for years when not in use, so I was surprised to see the wheel surfaces deteriorating.

Has anyone else run into this? Is there a good way to clean or restore the wheel surfaces without damaging them?

If the rubberized coating is breaking down, are the wheels user-replaceable, or is this something that would require service from Sequential? If anyone has replaced them, I’d appreciate any details on the process and where you got the parts.

Thanks!

I have no idea about PRO3 disassembly.
However when it comes to removing the sticky rubberized plastic coating, take a look at this thread (pointing you direct to my method):
