Brand new Pro 3 issue
« on: August 14, 2026, 03:38:22 AM »
Hello,
2 days ago I received a new Pro 3 standard. I have a very strange issue, that happens randomly and sometimes.
Let's say I am in the mod matrix page, and the page goes on the filter section, without I touch any knob.
It happens rarely and totally random.
Did anyone have this issue?
Thank you

Yes, this happens sometimes. The CutOff dial is the most common culprit but it can happen from other knobs as well. The knob does a late update to it's final/current position. You probably had recently changed the parameter (say, CutOff) and the position is "settling". The system will read a slightly different position and update the value, which switches the display to the Filter dialogue.

I think this is why Sequential no longer displays parameter values for their synths. Something in the hardware or firmware does this, and it can be annoying. I don't know why other synths companies don't seem to have this problem.

Thanks for your reply.
You got perfectly the point.
So do you think is not the case to ask for a warranty change?
Because as you wrote, it seems that is a common issue

I'm pretty sure it's not a replaceable warranty issue, it's just the way the Pro3 works, I think it's just a Sequential thing.

I actually came up with a (dumb, diy) fix for it.  When you change the Cutoff and are going to go work on the sequencer, or something else, tap lightly around the filter cutoff knob to encopurage it to "settle".  :D   -- Then move on to other work

I've been really disappointed that the buyout by FocusRite hasn't meant getting some help on the Firmware/Software for Sequential. They obviously need it.

Please reach out to support@sequential.com. We can at least get you a new cutoff pot to install in the synth (it's quite easy and requires no soldering).

Thanks.
I contacted Thomann and I just today received a new unit. But there is another problem. One factory sound is corrupted.
Does anyone knows what is going on?
