Is Soundtower worth getting and actively maintained?

Is Soundtower worth getting and actively maintained?

Hey,

Just wondering what other users' experiences are with Soundtower since it's so pricey (The exchange rate brings it to around $180 AUD/NZD), but the ability to read and manage patches and banks looks to be pretty handy.

Is it actively updated and maintained? Will it work with the new firmware?

It looks like there are a few bugs in the interface from the Demo version. (From what I can see, the octave split key returns the wrong value,) But this could also be symptomatic of the Demo Version.

Any user experiences with it before I drop the wad of cash? Any alternatives?

Cheers

I only purchased the standalone version, paying half the price. I own the Teo 5 desktop, and more than the editor, I find the library feature, with its categories, very useful. I often look for a bass or lead for a song, and the categories make the search faster. I also find the patch generator function surprisingly inspiring.
I haven't encountered any bugs yet.
