I added this to the feature request thread but putting it here for visibility, Mods delete if not appropriate. (And sorry in advance if so.)
Ok.
I just got my TEO-5 and absolutely love it, but there are some confusing design decisions that immediately jump out to me. There are some things that should be improved for PLAYABILITY and PERFORMANCE above all else that would make this synth a future modern-day classic. Some are covered, but I am expanding mostly on the desire for voice panning, as I feel this is really, really lacking.
It would be amazing to see Sequential commit to making some of these changes for what is an otherwise incredible synth!
Please!

1) Voice Panning (!!!) :'(
Panning is an essential Oberheim synth trait, so I don't know why it wasn't included on the panel somewhere as a shortcut for performance. This is by far the biggest oversight and can be easily solved by adding a few global features and shift (button long-press) and knob twist functionality.
I'm not the programmer, so easier said than done on my part; I'm sure there is some limitation of the Take 5 architecture being worked around here, but I would simply love to see this on the TEO-5, and it might even make it my favorite synth.
If anything, I would take the ability to hold any button and twist any knob simply to pan the voices out as they are playing as a cool effect! But I feel like a lot more can be reasonably achieved here.
My Oberheim VSTs let me pan voices, and even my delay effects pedals let me pan playback heads for gosh sakes! This synth should be able to do the same.
Ok, enough complaining...
-Add more voice panning default patterns, and the ability to save custom voice panning presets. Global settings to follow saved patch settings or global settings. (For example, the classic back-and-forth setting where each voice is panned left and right to a different amount (0-100)
-Add the ability to PAN EACH VOICE; I want my TEO-5 to sing with each voice in a different location in space. Please include this.
My starting-point suggestion here would be to add a function where holding the Unison button and twisting the Vintage Knob either scrolls through patterns and custom presets OR pans voices out linearly when the Unison button is long-pressed, and vintage knob is turned. (Like Unison detuning functions more or less.) Both of these could even be included together by putting one function (scrolling) under Unison + Vintage and another under Unison + Overdrive knob or something.
Some possible approaches for Sequential programmers for panning settings and setup. This is a lot, but please let me know if I can help with this or clarify! I would simply love to see this on the synth.
Global setting:
35. Voice Panning Location Setting
>On (Vintage Knob + Unison key long press)
>On (Overdrive + Unison long press)
>On (BOTH vintage knob and overdrive have different panning functionalities (one pans voices linearly out from center in real time when twisted, the other changes presets)
>Off
37. Voice Panning Patch or Global
>Global off (Global Panning Settings Never Used)
>Global On (Follows global behavior)
>Patch Override (Global Panning Setting is used UNLESS a patch setting has been programmed)
36. Voice Panning Behavior (The ability to set custom voice panning presets and edit the default ones; this would consist of editing templated (like the classic two voice pan for example and having different settings of how FAR each voice is panned from center.)
>Pan Equal Linear (Twisting the Vintage knob with the unison key pressed simply Pans the voices out as they play or where they will play next; this is a GREAT effect to use while holding a chord or running a sequence arp, you can change where each voice is or will be next by twisting the knob. It would be great, with the above global settings, to set this functionality DIRECTLY to the Overdrive knob or have it somewhere in the effects section. Maybe, for example, holding the effects on button and turning the reverb tone knob.)
>Presets (Twisting the Vintage knob with the unison key long pressed scrolls through panning presets, including Custom Voice Pan)
>Custom Voice Pan Only (Twisting the Vintage knob with the unison key long pressed scrolls through Custom Voice Pan settings only)
38. Set custom voice pans.
> Use bank buttons in this setting to program voice panning presets. Bank button selects the preset slot. Then, once the preset slot has been selected, press and hold 1-5 and twist the vintage knob to pan that voice. If you want to be extra fancy, then 6-10 is used to pan the NEXT instance of that voice being played somewhere else, resetting back to 1-5 setting on the next go-through.
I am more than happy to expand on this further and try to help make this work. I feel like this is the number one thing that is needed to take this synth to the next level!!
2) Global low split setting.
There should be two global low split settings, like, for example:
36. Global Low Split (Does the synth use a per-patch low split or the following Global Setting)
>Patch (Off)
>Global (On)
>Set Default Key but use Patch Override (Changes the DEFAULT low split to the set Global Split key, but this global is still overridden if a low split key is set in the patch.)
I hate having to guess where the low split is for each patch, and I really never need it to be at C3, so I really want to change the default setting.
Example:
37. Global Low Split Key
>Set a global low split key by either pressing the key
3) Knob value display. Others have covered this, so I won't elaborate.
4) Round Robin
There should be more Global settings for how voices are chosen and used (look at the Moog Matriarch for example.) Though there may be something I haven't figured out yet in the settings for this one, which is why I am putting it last.
Great synth. Love the work! Thank you!
