Rogue P6 is a Mac-native editor/librarian for the Sequential Prophet-6, and it will be released soon.

It’s designed as a modern second screen for the synth: visual editing, patch auditioning, sound bank organisation, categories, ratings, notes, tags, and .syx import/export.

The Prophet-6 stays the instrument — the Mac just gives you a clearer overview and a safer way to manage patches and banks.

Independent third-party app, made by a Prophet-6 user for other Prophet-6 users.

Looks great. Honestly, I've settled into using my P6 as a general go-to synth and MIDI controller. I don't do a lot of deep work with it anymore, but your thang is really appealing and I could see it pulling back into the depths of the P6.

Looks great. Honestly, I've settled into using my P6 as a general go-to synth and MIDI controller. I don't do a lot of deep work with it anymore, but your thang is really appealing and I could see it pulling back into the depths of the P6.

I am not kidding, I used it myself last weekend in a composition weekend with friends where we were writing new material. I had the app open all the time while being in Logic. The surprising thing (even to me) was that I kept on going to the app to look for sounds i could then use in logic to record a track. Normally you never really know where your sounds are, or if you have multiple sound sets, they end up somewhere on your disk and you need to look for them. This way, with the live auditioning feature it work like a charm! Kudos of course to the P6 itself for being such a hands-on and in a way very simple instrument to work with :-)
