Pro 3 OS Main 1.2.1

Received my "open box" regular Pro 3 (SN 03030) from Sweetwater a few weeks ago.  Not new to keyboards, but new to the DSI AND PRO 3.  Noticed right off that the encoded pots did index the values consistently.  That brought me to the forum and read the posts about the problem and that installing the previous Panel OS V1.1.0.0 fixes it.

I was going to follow the procedure to update both the Main OS and Panel.  If the instructions didn't say to do both, I would just do the panel update.  Anyway I noticed the my Main OS is V1.2.1 and that there was the statement below in another sticky topic.  I would respond to that topic but it is locked.   So now I have a few questions among which is can I still update the panel OS to fix the encoder pop issue?  Do I really need to install the main OS also and if so can I go back to one of the previous versions and if I do what I am missing out on?  Is V1.2.1 downloadable from anywhere?  Thanks in advance for your help.  My last question is do I really need to answer all the trivia questions every time I post?

IF YOUR UNIT SHIPPED WITH OS 1.2.1, DO NOT UPDATE. 1.2.1 contains minor changes for production only.

On the questions, There was a lot of spam. One of the mods might be able to shut that off for you.

The Panel OS works separately from the main so you should be fine updating only the Panel OS. (I'm pretty sure.)

Thanks for giving me the confidence to just to it.  Updated panel to 1.1.0.0 and the pots work so much better.  Definitely made my day as I didn't realize really how inconvenient it was to fiddle with them before. 

I also noticed I can now change all the note 16 velocities at one time in a sequence when I hold down the Track Select button.  It didn't work before like others had suggested it should.  Actually it appears to just shift them all up and down from their previous values.

My next step it to figure out how to manage the waveforms...but I'll put that on a different topic.

So, new FW is available for public now.

I wonder if there are some updates for older models or if it really is only relevant for new production and it's not worth it going through the update procedure?
