How do you balance vintage character vs modern precision on Sequential synths?

I’ve been using Sequential instruments for a while now (most recently the Prophet-6), and I keep coming back to how well they sit between classic analog character and modern reliability. Sometimes I love the natural drift and imperfections; other times I rely heavily on features like patch memory, effects, and MIDI integration to stay productive.
I’m curious how other Sequential/DSI users approach this balance. Do you lean into the raw, old-school behavior, or do you prefer tighter tuning and more controlled setups? And which model do you feel gets this balance just right for your workflow?

I think it's better to have more of something and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Once you understand that the Prophet 6 has a wider value range than the Prophet 5 then you can better understand it. Before I sold my Prophet 6 after I lost my job I was actually using a lot of the factory presets and realized that only using a Prophet 6 to emulate a Prophet 5 is wasting a lot of the synth's potential. Drive it, mangle it and push it further than it's legendary predecessor because it's the next step and embrace that it's the next step instead of constantly looking backwards.
