Prophet X Battery Replacement Guide (cured my audio processor connection issue)

Hi, all.

About a month ago I had the dreaded "Cannot reach audio processor" message on boot up of my 2019 Prophet X.

The good news in my case was that replacing the CR20232 battery fixed it.

Here is my guide on how to replace the battery: Sequential Prophet X Battery Replacement Guide, which will hopefully help others.
Regards

This is handy, but please be sure to reach out to support@sequential.com if you run into this issue!

I would have done if I needed to, but didn't need to. I am not going to contact them about a failed battery which cured the problem, and which is easy to change if you can wield a screwdriver and follow a guide, or in my case, follow my engineering nose and write a guide. :)

Sure thing, Derek. Speaking as a support team member, I can attest that there is a more permanent solution that we can offer in many cases.

Have fun with your PX!

No worries. I sure would have reached out if I could not have got it going. But based on posts on this forum, the issue usually seems most likely down to batteries and marginal PSU voltages, and in my case it was the former. As a time served electronics craftsman (a long time ago!) I am more than comfortable with diving in to check the obvious things.
