binaural mode and external midi control

I have been trying to control a few parameters using cc via external MIDI keyboards, esp, osc 1/2/noise level and triangle mod, for ex. I can get it to work in standard mode. If I go to binaural mode though any incoming cc messages are only applied to 1 layer. So you cannot do simple things like increase the noise volume or any other cc parameter properly - it is only applied to 1 layer.

Is there a workaround for this? I think, esp in binaural mode, users would like to be able to control cc for both layers simultaneously, especially since the front panel is missing alot of basic controls.

Also is there a way to avoid answering 10 captchas for every comment?

This is my problem as well. Replied to the same problem in a different thread. It works when I turn, for example, the cutoff knob on the OBX8, but it doesn’t work at all when using SoundTower or MIDI CC. I experimented with it for quite some time.

When Double/Split/Binaural mode is active and you’re using SoundTower, you have to automate two separate cutoff MIDI CCs for both programs. With the new Prophet 10 OS upgrade, it’s no problem at all to control both programs simultaneously.

Any news, help, or info on when this will be sorted out would be very much appreciated.

Seconding this. Very frustrating to not be able to use the CCs properly.

The CC implementation on the Oberheim OB-X8 is quite limited, whereas NRPN is fully implemented, so you’ll get much better control if you use NRPN instead.
