TEO-5 OS 1.2.0.15 Arp Whiplash Bug
« on: November 06, 2025, 01:51:33 PM »
I just updated both my Take 5 and my TEO-5 with the latest beta OS.

I've discovered an apparent bug in the TEO-5's Whiplash arp timing feature.

To recreate:  Set arp timing to Whiplash and turn on the arpeggiator.  Play some notes and press Hold to keep the arp going (or keep holding the notes).  Then change Clock Divide in the clock section.  The bug is that the first time you change Clock Divide, the arp keeps going at the previous clock division, then each time you change clock division again, the arp goes at the previously selected clock division, not the new one.

So, for example, let's say you start the arp with 1/8 clock division.  If you then turn it to 1/16, the arp timing doesn't change (it should double in speed).  If you then turn it to 1/32, or back to 1/8, THEN it goes to 1/16.  If you turned it to 1/8 and then turn it to something else, THEN it goes to 1/8.  Like it's "off by one".

Taking hold off/releasing the keys and then starting another arp by playing another chord fixes it.  The bug only occurs when changing Clock Divide while holding notes.

Interestingly, this bug doesn't occur on the Take 5 beta, only the TEO-5.

OB-6 module, Take 5, TEO-5, plus many other synths.

Thanks for detailing! I will go ahead and add this one to the list. We've already fixed a handful of arp/poly chain bugs, but we'll likely wait for some more things to collect before pushing out another release.
