Prophet 12 replacement keyboard

If anyone is interested or in need (like I was). I was able to find the company that manufactured the keyboard for the Prophet 12. The link is below. I used the markings on the key bed to find this company. They were fantastic. They dug out the original design and made a new one that dropped in to the unit I have with no issues in fit or function.

Thanks for this. How difficult is it to replace it yourself? Do you have any part number of the keybed you could share so they can identify the model more easily?
And they seem to sell minimum 100, how did you manage to get only 1?

If you engage a company rep on Alibaba's marketplace, you often end up communicating with someone on the factory floor. The keyboard had not been produced for 10 years or so. But they had all the designs and tooling for their machines. They made one for me and then apparently decided to do a run. They make musical instrument components like Fatar. I would make contact with them and start a dialog.

As to the installation, it was quite literally a drop in replacement. exact fit. ribbon cables fit just right. i did take a photo first to make sure orientation on cables was correct.

Bummer. Sorry to hear that. And no doubt I got lucky as they were super accommodating. But it was before tariff fiascos.

 I think they did a run. They must have found there was no interest beyond the lot. But also, Chinese suppliers are not so interested in pleasing US based customers (if you are US based). I did try to contact Fatar prior for something I could fit in, but never got a reply. I have had reports that they do make replacements (i.e. Pro 1) for various synths.

How much did a full keybed cost you?

I have a P12 with a rather yellow keybed so I looking at either find a new one, or, if possible just a full set of (white) keys. Given the other reply in the thread perhaps the Huaxin people can help me just get the keys, if they are not producing spare keybeds anymore. What do you think?
