Can Take & TEO 5 do ring mod?

Can Take & TEO 5 do ring mod?

Dear all, seems both have no dedicated ring mod controls. The Pro 3, however, can do ring mod via the mod matrix, by modulating the level of one oscillator by another. When I try do similar stuff on the TEO 5 (eg. Osc2 > Osc1 Lvl in the mod matrix), I do not get any audible effect. Attached is a test patch (U1P5) where slots 5 and 6 modulate Osc1 level and cutoff frequency respectively. Does anybody know how to get it to work?

I haven’t had a chance to try it on mine but, if you’re going to modulate Osc1 level, you’ll need to turn down Osc1 level in the program menu (or by holding down Osc 1 and turning the Value encoder) so it’s not maxed out already, or else any positive mod amount won’t do anything.

Alternatively, use a negative modulation amount in the matrix.

Next, true ring modulation is through zero, so using the matrix in this way won’t give you true ring modulation, but just amplitude modulation.

Lastly, there is a Ring Modulation effect in the effects section.
OB-6 module, Take 5, TEO-5, plus many other synths.

Thanks for the hint. Reducing the volume actually gave me some audible result, but at rather low level. With the cutoff modulation, I got no result at all, even when closing the filter. So my conclusion was that there is no ring mod available (which is not an issue at all, both synths are excellent machines).
