Envelope velocity amount anywhere?

Dear all,

these days I finally have some spare time to explore the TEO-5. It's a dream synth I wished to have at my disposal during my twenties.

Short question: Is there a way to set the Envelope velocity amount (instead of either on or off)? I expected that holding one of the velocity buttons and turning the Value Knob would do the trick, but that's not the case. Any other trick?

I’m coming from using the Pro3 but think the process is the same:

Route velocity to envelope depth via the mod matrix, that way you can set a variable amount.

Hold the “source” source button in the mod assign section and press a keyboard key until “velocity” is showing. The hold the “destination” button and turn the envelope depth knob. Then set the depth with the value encoder.

On the Pro3 it's in the Mod Matrix. I can't imagine they would have left it out of the Take/TEO models.
But it's a bit of a bummer as the ModMatrix velocity works opposite of the Velocity button.

(If I get this right) - The button uses the ADSR settings as the *top* of the velocity amount, where as the ModMatrix works from the bottom of the values. (?)  So if you are switching from button to Matrix you have to rework the settings a lot to get the same kind of feel/action.

Jep, it seems to work like this:

• The velocity button multiplies the envelope amount with the velocity value. Max velocity results in the set envelope amount, min velocity in no amount at all. IMO the button is a nice shortcut, though way too coarse for subtle velocity sensitivity. I wish they added a pot instead of a button.
• The mod matrix adds on top of the envelope amount. Min velocity still engages the set envelope amount, while max velocity will add the matrix amount to the envelope amount. I'm happy for the matrix, so I can adjust my presets accordingly.

When routing velocity to Env Amt, think in terms of both the minimum amount and maximum amount of envelope you want at minimum and maximum velocity, respectively.

Use the Amount knob in the envelope section to set the minimum/starting envelope amount, that plays at the lowest velocity.  Set the mod depth of Velocity->Env Amt in the matrix to get the max amount or the desired amount you want at a given velocity.  It’ll take some fine tuning of both of these to get it the way you want, but it’s better than the “all or nothing” the velocity button gives you.

I'm just fiddling with the Uno Synth Pro. It has both Amp and Filter Env Amount as destinations in the modulation matrix. Choosing Velocity as a source, those do exactly we are longing for. Would be nice to see that in some OS update.
