Hi everyone,
I’m Charlie, brand-new to the Sequential forum and happy to be here. I’ve been a keyboard player for about a decade and have dabbled with a handful of analog and digital synths (a trusty Roland, a couple of monos, and more recently a love for warm, hands-on hardware). I’m eyeing a Prophet X because I love the idea of combining rich samples with real analog filters, but I’ve never worked with an instrument that blends both worlds so closely. I’m hoping folks who own or use the Prophet X can share how the sample workflow actually feels day-to-day: is importing and mapping samples straightforward? Are there practical limits or best practices for sample length, folder organization, and polyphony management? Also, how natural do the analog filters sit with user-loaded samples? Does it really turn a sampled sound into something that breathes and responds like a true synth voice? Any tips, pitfalls, or personal workflows would be hugely appreciated.
