Hi all, I am a new (again) prophet-12 owner and I don't remember if it was normal, but I'm getting a 'more than I'd like' amount of crackle/noise at random points during playing. It's making it very hard to record with it when there is now a permanent crackle in a spot of my audio. Holding a lush pad and then mid audio (CRACKLE) is kind of ruining it for me.
I tried autotuning and resetting globals. Im not peaking my audio interface either, and my volume on the unit is about 12 o'clock.
Any idea?
Thanks
Have you narrowed it down to the P12 and confirmed nothing similar happens on other synths? I had an issue like that with an older PC -- I believe the aging capacitors on the motherboard were starting to fail or something other power related issue, because when I replaced the PC the issue was resolved. For a while I thought it was only coming from a single synth, but it was because I had temporarily relegated duty for "soft pads" to that particular synth so crackles were more noticeable than on other hardware.
