Lofi Hiss

Hello, hello!

Got my TEO-5 a few days ago and absolutely love it!
But one thing I am not so in love with is the hiss of the lofi effect (you‘re hearing it too, right?). I can’t seem to find a way to turn it off, so please, please, please, add one. I mean it’s a digital effect, why should there be any hiss, let alone that insane amount?

Okay, no one else seems to be bothered, but could you please confirm that you are hearing it too? Since I am only hearing the hiss when lofi is enabled, I don’t think there’s something wrong with my unit, but I just want to make sure.

When I watched the J3PO video I was eager to check out the Aggro808 patch for example. Didn’t notice any hiss in the video, but on my Teo it renders the patch almost unusable (for my taste at least).

The Lo-fi effect emulates tape so yes there’s hiss added.  An option to turn it down/off would be nice, but all the effect parameters are limited to the knobs on the synth, so unless they add a program menu item to change “lo-fi hiss level” it’s just as it is.

You’re right, didn’t think of that. Then my request would be an additional Lofi 2 effect, which is exactly the same minus hiss.
