Prophet 08 Keybed

I distinctly remember the keybed on the Prophet 08 being among my favorite keybeds out there. Long story short, I had a move, boxed it up two years ago & just recently unpacked it.

Now, I can't stand the keybed. It's clack & feels sloppy.

I'm getting ready to take it somewhere to get serviced but I haven't found anyone who "should" know what needs to be done. It's got a couple of keys that doesn't work. I thought this was a common analog synth issue but when I speak to "technicians" they aren't familiar with the issue... starting to think I'm wrong.

But I wanted to bring up the thing about the keybed. But I don't know if this is just something in my head.

Diagnosing and fixing intermittent or dead keys is often quite simple and only requires a screwdriver and pair of needle nose pliers. We also have detailed photo guides that we can send over for reference.

Mine had many not working keys. I ordered a new one at the sequential support. Very easy to replace and it works great
