Moog Muse - user feedback

Moog Muse - user feedback

Hi all,

The pre-existing "Moog Muse" thread is mostly reactions to the launch, and I would love to hear from anyone who owns one, or has used one extensively.

Seems a lot of people post about their problems with the Muse - tuning, firmware bugs, etc. - but I wonder if there are any happy Muse users out there.

Most of the early issues have been resolved.  Despite seemingly slow moving, Moog has supported updates accordingly....  Though they are lax at communicating with thier community on thier forum.  Last update was recent and good.   I have used mine quite a bit.  It takes some getting familiar with.  Otherwise you might assume something  is defective that is not really wrong.   There was some videos about odd-shaped wave forms for example.   None of that was true, at least on my unit.  It was filter setting related. Anyway... I like the sound and the build quality and general layout.      I have only two  lingering issues.   1. Main output needs to be turned up pretty high for delay to be effectively balanced.  In otherwords, delay vol not linear like on the Matriarch.  Muse has a pretty hot output compared to my other synths.    2.  I've had a few episodes where tuning jumped out on a purchased patch set.  Went to basic patch and all was well.  Odd that it'd be just  be per patch and not globally.  Both are fixable I would think.    In short,  I plan to hold on to the Muse. It has inspired me as a big ole analog synth shall.

I’ve been using the Moog Muse for a couple of months now and honestly, when it’s behaving, it’s fantastic. The sound design possibilities are really inspiring - just wish the firmware was a bit more stable.
