Programming MIDI Notes into Sequencer

Programming MIDI Notes into Sequencer

Hello,

I just bought a Desktop Evolver and I'm absolutely in love with it. I can't seem to figure out how to program MIDI notes into the sequencer from my keyboard. I hold the sequencer button down, wait for it to start blinking, press keys on my keyboard, but only the same sound comes out of each key. I would like to program it so each key plays a new note. Am I missing something?

Im rusty in this since i use the editor to do this sort of thing and the table top just as a 5th voice to the PEK.  I dont have a lot of luck with the satellite unit  following the PEK.  But I have gotten the table top to work independently like you mean.  Have you tried manually advancing the steps manually on the unit itself and just dialing in each step note with the knobs?  Set clock to internal to start with.  Once that all works then you  can set to step with each keystroke in settings to advance each steps progression (among other options).  If set to record it should pick up the new midi note for each step.
