Specific "The Cure" synth transition

If you listen to the transition from verse to chorus at around 1:40 here, there's a very specific kind of glissando happening, sort of "organ like with fx"....   Does anyone know specifically the best way to create "that sound"?

Kinda hard figure out unless it was isolated from other instruments.  The sound is cool though.  Always liked TheCure.

Yeah, I think Robert Smith's sound was my main inspiration for ever picking up a guitar, The Cure is legend.  Keyboards always played a background role, but an important one to their sound overall I think.  That particular glissando, or variations of it can be heard in many of their tracks but it's almost like a unique fingerprint I never hear anywhere else.
