I may have chosen an easier synth ?

Hi everyone,
Newbe with the Prophet X...
and with synthetisers too.
I may have chosen an easier synth ?
Looking for someone who could help me, speaking french if possible.
Je serais intéressé par  prendre des cours avec Skype tant que le confinement ne permet pas davantage...
I'd like to rebuild Coldplay's 'Something just like this', 'Hymn for the week-end' or 'Paradise'. Can buy parches though.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Kind regards,
Fred

Hi Fred, staring with Prophet X is a bit challenging but well worth it! Hope you make your favorite covers soon.

Hello

The PX is an amazing synth. If you ignore the sample features, it is pretty much a conventional analog synth (but with digital oscillators for stability), so any analog synthesis tutorial that takes you through the conventional signal flow of oscillators, filters, amplifiers, envelope generators, low frequency oscillators and other modifiers, will get you going

Once you are familiar with that, then the sample capabilities can be mastered, but these can be essentially thought of as alternate oscillators
Regards
Derek
