LFO speed inconsistant

LFO speed inconsistant

I've already contacted Oberheim Support and opened a ticket concerning this confirmed software bug by them.

But just in case you notice something not quite right about the LFOs on your OB-X8, here it is: If you create a patch that use the LFOs to modulate something critical, like the pitch, you will notice that when more than 4 voices are playing AND you use the filter envelope, during the different phases of that envelope the speed of the LFOs will vary.
Slowing down slightly during the attack, decay, and release phases, but speeding back up during the sustain and when the release phase of the filter envelope has finished. It's subtle, but noticeable nonetheless.

Another bug of the main LFO is that when you use the S&H to modulate something (the pitch, or more probably the filter cutoff), all voices will sometimes not have the same value for each step of the LFO. Resulting in a mishmash of modulations instead of the familiar Camera Eye OB-X patch from Rush, where ALL voices have the same random value at each step of the LFO.

BTW, even though Oberheim support has acknowledged the problem, they basically said that they have put it on the list of bugs to correct, but not to keep my hopes up, as it is not a very high priority one. That was several months ago.

I'm not sure if you were meaning it with saying "LFO's" but as you haven't mentioned it explicitely I would like to point out that this behaviour is true for both LFOs including the Vibrato LFO.

I am really curious if this ever will get fixed ..
