PRO2 Super Waves on Prophet 12

PRO2 Super Waves on Prophet 12

I wish if we could have PRO2 Super Waves on Prophet 12, even if that halves polyphony into six voices.
I know p2 has a SHARC DSP to generate just one single voice whereas p12 has six of them to generate 12 voices. This means the computing resources is richer by double on p2 than on p12.
Hence, I suppose having six voices on p12 only when you kicked on the parameter to yield super waves is still more than enough. If you are not using the Super Waves then you can continue with 12 voices.

Thoughts?

Your idea makes sense; utilizing Super Waves on the Prophet-12 could enhance its sound capabilities while still providing sufficient polyphony when needed.

Thanks so much! ;)

I know I actually want a polyphonic edition of PRO2, but namely the VCF portion needs to be replaced from CEM 3397 to DSI original analog discrete prophet/SEM emulation circuits, so I gave up on that.
Still, having a choice to use PRO2 Super Waves on the Prophet 12 while option to use the original p12 waveforms with 12 voices would be great - not just polyophonic expression but also the unison mode would be a real crystal!

Yep I've said this many times and would love it. They can have a lovely chorused sound and it's just a bit sad they can't be used polyphonically
