Quality guitar samples

Quality guitar samples

The guitar samples in the factory library is kind of a let down if you ask me.  ::)
Do anyone have any quality guitar samples to share or sell?
Nylon, steel acoustic, electric, etc?

I may have a few electric samples which are free, need to double check. Most of mine I converted from commercial libraries, so I cannot share those obviously. If you use Kontakt libraries, these can be converted with some work.

I do have Kontakt, Awave and some other tools. Also a stack of hardware sampler CDs.
You don't have to share, but can you recommend anything?

If you have Kontakt and there are guitar libraries you like  which you own, perhaps I can convert some for you for a reasonable fee. FYI, Kontakt Player libraries cannot be extracted with Awave as the samples are in .nkx files. I know how to do it, but there's not really an easy solution even if you are down to do it yourself.

Is the solution in question just recording new multisamples of the instrument using samplerobot or similar?

No, it is extracting the actual NKX containers to make sure all possible samples are used. You can certainly resample the libraries that way too, but I don't think you'd get all the possible round robin samples, or you may end up with duplicates.

Let me think about that. My key concern is the ability to retain och recreate the loop points.

If you are loading guitar samples (sustain, mute, harmonics, etc etc) there are no loop points in the raw samples, they are recorded full length. Should you want to do sound design with them and use them in other ways you can of course make loops on the synth.
