This is the second time in less than a year that my Prophet X has bricked. I've replaced the motherboard and PS. I don't have the money for a replacement board and now I'm in the middle of a soundtrack assignment which I'm now having to turn down because my PX was my main tool.

I've submitted a ticket but honestly...I think I might be done with the Prophet X as it's become too unreliable.

UPDATE: I just ordered a new battery and power supply from Amazon. Replaced the battery and fiddled with the voltage of the power supply I got from Sequential last year and it seems to have resolved itself. Not putting the screws back in JUST yet as I want to give it a few more sessions before I am satisfied it's going to last. Espen Kraft's video actually helped me a lot.

Glad you have hopefully resolved it.

I recently had a lot of problems with my Korg Kronos due to low battery which it was not telling me about! and certainly old synths like the Yamaha SY Range can go completely crazy with a bad battery.

Touchwood my X has been faultless so far in the five years I have had it.

I just wish Sequential would fix the reported bugs in at least one last update. That is my "bugbear" with them and why I probably would not buy another Sequential product.
Regards
Derek

I agree. I would like them to add MPE compatibility as well but that's not going to happen.
