P6 no sound after switching project in Logic Pro

P6 no sound after switching project in Logic Pro
« on: December 06, 2024, 01:46:47 PM »
Hi everyone,

I’ve encountered a problem with my Prophet 6 and Logic Pro setup and would appreciate any insights or solutions. Here’s the issue:

When I open a project in Logic Pro for the first time, everything works perfectly, and my Prophet 6 produces sound without any issues.
However, if I close Logic Pro and reopen it, or if I switch to a different project, the Prophet 6 stops producing any sound.
The only way I’ve found to resolve this is to physically turn the Prophet 6 off and on again, which is quite inconvenient.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior or knows what might be causing it? I’m wondering if it’s a MIDI or communication issue between Logic Pro and the Prophet 6.

Prophet 6 is connected via Midi cables through my RME Fireface UC audio interface.

My system Information :
Macbook Pro m3 Pro 18 gb Ram
macOs Sequoia 15.1.1
Logic Pro 11.1

I’d appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

This sounds exactly like an issue I encountered a few months ago. There is a message you can turn off within Logic Pro to stop this from happening. My description of it is in the thread I started about it:
