Polychain / binaural mode question

Polychain / binaural mode question

I have two OBX8s, having recently added a desktop to a keyboard.  I intend to use these in a binaural fashion.

Option A: polychain the units together and use binaural mode for each.  This would eat up 4 audio ins on my mixer.

Option B: KISS.  use each unit in mono, pan one hard left, the other hard right.  This would use 2 audio ins.

My initial use has been with option A, however I wonder functionally if there is any real benefit to this over option B.

What does the community think ?

B makes more sense. You have no advantage of A. And in the end its the same what one X8 is doing, shift a half-X8 to left and right. Now you can shift a full X8 to left and right.

With A you have the LFOs synced between L and R, at least within each voice.
