Vivaldi Four Seasons on Prophet 12

Vivaldi Four Seasons on Prophet 12

Hi all,

I wanted to drop a quick note that I've just posted my Prophet 12 Desktop recording of Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" to my youtube channel.  Prophet 12 is the only instrument used (with a little reverb from the Roland VS-1880 deck I recorded on) and I did the recording back in 2017.  Nearly all the patches are voices I created with maybe 2 or 3 factory presets sneaking in.

It's on my youtube playlist: "Vivaldi: The Four Seasons on Prophet 12 Synthesizer":

Also, about 1.5 years ago I posted my Prophet 12 only version of "The Planets" by Holst (also recorded in 2017 just after I finished, "The Four Seasons").  I'm pretty sure I announced it on this forum as well, but if I didn't (or you're curious to check it out too), it's on my youtube playlist, "Morpheus: The Planets Op. 32":

Sadly I sold my P12 a few months ago to help offset the cost for my latest adventure:  Eurorack modular.  Eurorack is a hungry beast that eats up time and money at a ridiculous pace and I had to feed it something so I also sold a Korg MS-20 Desktop, Korg Radias & Arturia MatrixBrute.  I don't regret dumping any of those three for a moment, though I do wish I'd held on to the P12   :(

Thanks for listening and hope you like them  :)

I remember the Planets piece you did.  It was quite impressive.  I look forward to hearing some of the modular stuff.

Please note that the YT link you posted (at least on my end) is saying that it is disabled.

Thanks!  I really like these Vivaldi pieces as well.  Sorry about any link issues...I just double checked them from here and the links appear to work both within the forum and the "watch on youtube" options.  I just tried this and it's another way to get to them...go to youtube and search for "vivaldi four seasons prophet 12" or "morpheus the planets prophet 12" and they should come up that way as well  ;)

Hey all,

I know this is going outside the P12 world so I didn't give it a new thread, but since some of you have mentioned liking my synth-classical adaptations over the years I thought I'd announce I just finished uploading my arrangement/performance of Mussorgsky's classic work, "Pictures at an Exhibition" to my youtube channel.  The recording was done exclusively using a Korg Radias virtual analog synth in 2014 about a year before I got my P12 and can be found in my playlist at:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdXZ6FO4gbI&list=PLfXm8aXRTFz0g6M8GqIDWn1NZhKav4iuy

If you're a fan of the Korg Radias, the Tomita adaptation, the orchestral arrangement, or if you're only familiar with the Emerson Lake & Palmer version (as I was for many years), this should be something you'll hopefully enjoy ;)

If for some reason you have problems with the link, just get on youtube and search for "mussorgsky pictures at an exhibition dennis m" and it should get you there  ;)

Happy listening!
