50 years of Sequential.....

I was quite shocked to see a lot of omissions from Sequential's history when looking at the 50 year time line. No DrumTraks, no Prophet 2000, no Sequential Max, no Studio 440 etc. Not saying these were all bangers but if you are going to do a time line, why skip over stuff? We went from the Prophet 600 to the Prophet VS in no time.

Yeah I was surprised by that too. Maybe that's a chapter they want to forget (Model 64 anyone?). But still, the Studio 440, Prophet 2000 and let's not forget the Tom, which is enjoying a bit of renaissance at the moment, were all innovative and highly regarded products of which Sequential should be proud.

I think they should be proud of the Model 64. It essentially is the gap between standalone sequencers and computer based sequencers.

A lot of Sequential Circuits history was discussed in the old DSI / Sequential forums which it seems were deleted years ago.  If anyone knows how to access them, please let me know.  I remember at least for a short while the old and new forums coexisted.

Hi, I know that the old forum has been completely shut down, and the old links now only lead to the Sequential homepage or return errors. So it is very difficult to find many valuable documents.

A lot of useful information, use tutorials and troubleshooting about the original Sequential Circuits product line was in the old forums - including numerous entries contributed by me.
