feature request: VCA bypass amount

Hey everyone, a feature I think would be cool is the ability to bypass the VCA for droning effects. I think either doing it by MIDI or by a key + knob combo would be good. It's something I loved having on my old Prophet 08 and I miss it.

Can’t you do that already by setting VCA envelope sustain to maximum and pressing the “hold” button?

It's a similar function, but not quite the same. This would allow the free-running oscillators to drone. The Prophet 08 could do both.

Ah, so a per-oscillator decoupling like on Summit so one can have a drone but other oscillators still respond to pitch info from the keys.

You can also get partway there by turning off the “keyboard” button in oscillator 2 but the notes will still have to be triggered by key presses.

Do as we did "back in the days" ....   Put small screwdrivers
or modified shopsticks between the keys and the wood panel   ::)

Cheers !

Edit :  Or put some heavy things on the keys, like Dave Stewart does in this video @ 0,15   8)

I think the best way to do this would be option for sustain pedal to OSC1 only drone, then you could either enable with footswitch or something like this:  https://www.endorphin.es/modules/p/plus-3-pedal

Biggest issue with the Prophet 5/10 is simple numeric readout makes it difficult to know what sort of niche features are on or off.. which is not hard to memorize if you have one or two synths but for folks with many synths its hard to remember what code or magic combo key does what on each synth.

This is why I like synths with nice mod matrix screens for special specific / swiss army knife purposes..  I like synths like the Rev 4 for their limitations.
