Unfortunately my P10 is need of repair now
After a couple weeks of troubleshooting with Sequential, it appears (something) on the voice expander card is faulty.
The problem: my calibration would refuse to complete the cycle at warm / operating temperatures (+40c), and it would get stuck at voices A06 or b06, sometimes a little beyond and get stuck at A09. It would complete right after power on, but once were at operating temps, it refuses to tune at all.
After 2 years of owning it, we are outside warranty and needs to be serviced at cost in the UK (or prepare a nerve-wracking shipment to SF). I know the main board might need to be looked at also (just in case) but I'm still at a loss why we can't try board swap test / fix rather than shipping a £3.5k instrument. I've seen a few people already mention this option was offered to them out of warranty, but maybe things have changed now.
I am fairly disappointed as this seems to be the 4th or 5th case of this issue that I've seen documented on this forum (maybe many more cases undocumented), it's not a one-off anomaly.
I can say that Support was helpful, entirely polite and professional throughout, but if we're looking at a leaky resistor or similar, it just doesn't make sense to ship the entire thing for months on end and a massive insurance liability.
I hope this helps anyone else experiencing the same problem, it always seems to come down to the voice expansion card so maybe something for Sequential to take note of with their flagship.
