With Oberheim now being part of the Focusrite family...

I was reading an old Sound On Sound review about the old DSI Tetra and the first few paragraphs spoke about the Oberheim SEM 4 Voice and the idea of having four independent mono synths that can be used as a four voice poly synth, split and layered with different sounds or used as four individual sound sources (on four different MIDI channels). While this doesn’t seem like a ground breaking concept these days (this is essentially the Elektron Analog Four) ...could we see a new Oberheim Four Voice? I know Tom was hinting years ago of a “SonOf4Voice” synth but perhaps combining some of the features that DSI/Sequential has implemented we might see this come to fruition?

A desktop synth based around the Oberheim SEM but with OLED display, patch memory, on-board sequencer and digital effects. A few tweaks of the Tetra interface (perhaps dedicated buttons for each of the voices just, a few elements of the TEO 5...thus a “Son Of Four Voice.”

Especially if it’s in a nice white color.
