Updating 2.0 Sound Banks Erases Default Sound Banks?

Hi all. Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but I'm not finding it. I just updated to firmware 2.1 (yay!). I then installed the two new User banks -- that worked just fine, and all of the original OB-X8 preset banks were present. I then added the new binaural banks (three new banks). They sound great...but that process seems to have deleted the factory default banks and the two new User banks. Is there a way to install and keep all of the banks?

If you had created a backup of your OB-X8 settings before the update and bank installations, you can restore from that backup to recover the missing banks. The backup process typically involves saving the settings to a computer or storage device.

There shouldn't be any overlap with the new banks. When you transfer the two sysex files, make sure you only send one at a time. The user patches load over the first two groups of user patches. The other file loads to the new 'binaural', 'double+', and 'split+; slots. The regular Split and Double (non +) banks should remain untouched.

I'm having the same issue with the new firmware. I updated to 2.1 and added the new binaural banks, but it seems to have wiped out the factory presets and my custom user banks. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to restore the factory presets?

Re: Factory restoration. Does this point from page 6 of the manual help you at all?

"You can restore all OB-X8 factory sounds to their original state using the reset
prgm to factd command in the global menu."
