1) I would love to see the teo5 and take 5 get some sort of shortcut to pan spread, like maybe you hold down noise and turn vintage to add pan spread vs using the mod matrix.

2) knob value parameter display. You have a super clear and nice Oled that is not being utilized to its fullest imo.

3) custom init patch. Like you could save a custom init patch that could be recalled by the front panel shortcut or a new shortcut.

4) the ability to only assign the arp to either the lower or upper split, example the bass line could be an arp while the upper you could play

Really been loving the TEO-5 overall and just wanted to add a few more feature requests to this thread!

1) Voice Random/Polyphonic Random - The monophonic Random in the mod matrix is really useful, and it would be great to have polyphonic per-voice randomization tied to each key press.

2) LFO Phase: Being able to offset the phase of the LFO's in the mod matrix.

3) Voice Allocation Behavior: From what I can tell, in polyphonic mode the synth does round-robin voice allocation, and in monophonic mode it changes to always use Voice 1 until you start stacking unison voice count. It would be great to more freely configure the voice allocation per patch, as there's a lot of unique creative things this synth could do if it had monophonic + round-robin, and Prophet 5-style 'reset mode' would be useful for polyphonic playing.

A shortcut for filter key tracking would be nice too (on Take 5 and TEO-5).  Like hold some button and turn the value knob.

Agree on knob value display. You could put effects change values in the space the effect name is for 2-3 seconds.
Also, I want to add a simple, but huge quality-of-life change: make symbols in naming loop. If I'm at a number or "z" I have to scroll all the way through small then capital letters to get to a space at the beginning.

Can’t you just use the “insert character” as that adds a space immediately.

5 voices absolutely needs note-off velocity as a mod source.

I also agree that there should some way to display current knob settings.

Absolutely love this Synth. What would be cool is the use of the 16 program Buttons as sequencer step Buttons with parameter lock. You say hold one button, change valued on the, say, filter and it is stored for that step only, same with keypresses etc. This would greatly enhance the sequencer's usability

What's "insert character"?  I don't see that on my Take 5.  There's no mention in the manual either.  Did TEO-5 add this?  When naming patches the select knob moves the cursor and the value knob changes the character at the cursor.  Insert and delete character options would be nice additions.

“Insert character” adds a space for a new character between two existing ones. It’s on the Pro 3. I assumed it would be on the other synths too but I guess they don’t have the soft buttons that the Pro 3 has. I’m sure there’d be a way to implement it though if the developers were so inclined.

The TEO-5 has THE Oberheim sound, absolutely love it. but what annoys me most is that the UI is somewhat dead. No display of the encoder/potentiometer values, no synchronised blinking LEDs (e.g. for the envelopes and LFOS).

Would be a great improvement

Would love to have the ability to use the SELECT knob to rapidly scroll through programs like you can with the PROGRAM knob on Rev 2, Pro 3 etc. Repeatedly having to jump between the bank and the numerical program buttons can get tiresome after a while.

+1
I often miss blinking lights that allow me to see LFO speeds.

What I've been doing is just quickly spin the VALUE knob all the way to the left and it will insert a space which I think was a nice simple way to accomplish this functionality.

+1 for the display of pod/wheel values. My request is to implement this similar like on Arturia's KeyLab MK3.

I would prefer to have the Pod Mode set to Passthru. This prevents these sometimes unexpected big jumps in change of sound. With Passthru, the sound will always be in control. But this is currently not workable because I do not know which way to turn a pod or how fast to turn it to prevent these big jump in sound changes, especially if the "hidden" actual value is a min or max value. Every time turning a pod fully left or right just is not user friendly.

What I would like see is that when I turn a pod, that the actual value and the pod value is displayed together - the actual value is smaller in font size under the pod value that is in a bold font in the center of the screen and the name above it - until I pass through the value. Then I know how far and in which way to dial the pod. When the pod passes through the actual value, the small actual value dissapears from the display because the pod has taken over the control. When I stop turning the pod, after a short moment, the pod value and name automatically dissapears and the display returns to it's last state before I started turning the pod.

This all applies also to the wheels.

I own the Take 5 and just ordered the TEO-5 so my wishes are for both firmwares.

-> shortcut to increment values faster (maybe +10 per tick) when using the mod matrix
-> shortcut to add keyboard tracking to filter (maybe hold something + filter)
-> shortcut to add voice pan spread (maybe hold something + vintage knob)

I love that you can hold "source" and press keys to get to some mod sources, but some often used destinations like panning need to be located by scrolling through many items. Maybe the options that are not accessible through shortcuts should be the first few ones in the list.

and for a more exotic request:
-> note off as a mod source (could be just plain super cool)
