Hi all, running into a few quirks with the new Poly Chain function:
OBX8 Keyboard (Master) Poly Chained to OBX8 Desktop, both running firmware 2.0.0.1- When switching Master to an init patch (using either MANUAL + WRITE or switched through Global Menu), only the Master will change to the Basic Preset, leaving the Poly Chained unit sounding on the last selected preset.
- Adjustment of knobs/switches edits Basic Preset on Master, and also adjusts the preset still loaded on Poly Chain Unit
- When switching Master to Manual/Live Panel mode, the Poly Chained unit will remain on last selected preset
- Master unit switches to Basic Preset and sounds based off current position of knobs/switches
- Poly Chained unit remains on last selected patch, but is immediately modified by current position of Master knobs/switches
- If any patch is edited on Master, then original patch recalled by pressing last selected programmer button, the Poly Chained unit remains edited
- Seems like the patch re-load command never gets sent to Poly Chained unit
Has anyone else experienced this? Globals have been cleared, and both units re-calibrated. The first two issues seem closely related, in that the Poly Chained unit fails to switch to Basic Preset. Otherwise the PolyChain feature works well and is alot of fun. Would be great if these could get resolved in a future firmware update.
