How do I sync using trigger out on linndrum to arp on OBX8 synthersizer

Hello all, just brought a brand new Oberheim obxa synthersizer and it’s sounds great I’m really pleased with it. I’ve just wondered how to sync the beats of my non midi linn drum to the arp on my obx8? I use the the linndrum trigger out that goes into my Roland jupiter 4 clock in using the jack lead and it works perfectly…..i just thought it would be the case of just plugging the lead out of my jupiter 4 and into the arp socket on the back of my obx8 but it doesn’t work…or sync in time…the obx8 is upgraded to firmware 2.0…is there anyone who can help me? Thank you
