*Urgent* Prophet 5 Turns on with lights blinking and patch 111 is delayed (VCO

I just got a brand new Prophet 5 that turns on with lights flashing and the display screen blinking.  This has happened since I have updated the OS to 2.0.4.  Also preset #111 has a major delay since updating the OS update.  I need help.  Not sure if the synth is broken.

Could also be that the ribbon cable is loose. That would probably cause errors when the OS was loaded on too. It’s a fairly simple job to reseat it.

What do you mean a ribbon cable is loose.  Also the synth was just fine before the OS Update.

the ribbon cable is inside the synth and connects the two boards together. If it was not correctly seated when you performed the firmware update, it might have resulted in data corruption, hence potentially why you’re only seeing problems now post-update.

Possibly, but loose ribbon is a common cause of issues and a simple fix so is worth trying.
