Issues with new OS and Banks

Issues with new OS and Banks
« on: July 06, 2024, 09:53:31 PM »
Hello all,

I updated to the new OS and added the new banks. I now routinely have to do a full calibration on boot-up or when it's on for a while, and I haven't played. Without doing the full calibration, it sounds like a super high-passed thin hissy version of the sounds.

Perhaps I installed it incorrectly? Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Full calibration is a requerid part of the update process as described in the instructions given by Oberheim. It takes you less then five minutes and is fully automated. There is no reason to skip that step.

The instructions indicate this is needed only if the unit was not yet using 1.1.1.0.  My desktop came with 1.1.1.0, so mostly as an experiment I didn't do full calibration, and have not had issues thus far.  I believe the issue he is describing here is that he needs to recalibrate repeatedly, which does sound unusual.

I think the original post fails to confirm whether or not all the steps were performed: boot after update, reset globals and calibration table, then recalibration. Other thing of note: warm-up after boot. For the rest, I guess this would be best addressed by support directly. They would know if there was anything abnormal going on.

Hello all - it would appear I forgot to clear the calibration in my update process. I reinstalled and did all the steps - no more issues. Thanks!

Hello.

I think my os is buggy after updating to 2.0 firmware.

I can't scroll to some of the banks like the + ones or binaural. Can't choose different top and bottom layers. Anyone else have this?

Reset globals and recalibrate also did the trick! Missed that part...
