Any chance on "reassign voice allocation" mode like on a Prophet 5? The possibility to choose from reassign/round robin/unison per patch would be nice, expecially with 5 voices and long decay sounds.

Feature requests before the synth is out?  That's a new one :P

This will be added to the TEO-5 and TAKE-5 feature request list.

People are excited about this synth! It's a gotta have for me! Even with Take 5 and PRO3. Oberheim has always been so out of reach price wise.

I'm with you. I've never been drawn into the Obie world, but have been tempted by the OB-6. Having landed a P6 and Trigon, no room for anything big, but the TEO might be the "finally!" moment that brings that sound into my life.

Thank you very much Gus  :)

Yes, as the anticipation for this little "80s" pinstripy Oberheim power package is high, one is eagerly reading every snippet of information in the pdf manual like in those old printed shiny catalogues/brochures as a kid in search for wanted features. And the idea now was just to kindly ask before the actual release so that it maybe finds its way into the product when ready.

And congrats to the design team - this little thing just looks sooo tasty and yummy! Like the perfect package of size, features and looks. Also, being still affordable it will fly off the shelves I'm sure.

Not a feature request, just as a question: would it be possible to use the mod matrix to generate a similiar effect like the octave wave shift trick of the OB-8, explained by Marcus Ryle for the OB-X8?

For me, a lot of music I grew up with and still listen to has that Oberheim sound: Rush, Pat Metheny Group (Lyle Mays), etc. I'm sure there are more. I think Lyle Mays has influenced me especially as a keyboardist. But the cost, both vintage and modern, has been a bit high. If the little TEO-5 has just a fraction of the Oberheim sound and DNA, and I believe it does, I will still be happy. It will fit well with Take 5, PRO 3, and my Korg Prologue. Great as a second tier board for live work too!

I asked on another forum, but in case posting here makes it more likely to catch your attention, I wanted to request that the "RELATCH" setting be made available for when HOLD is active but not the arpeggiator. I suppose this could be done by amending "ARP RELATCH" to affect both, or by adding an additional setting for when the arpeggiator isn't active. Either way, I find this capability very useful in a synthesizer, as I have a disability that prevents me from using a sustain pedal easily with my feet, and hold+relatch is a pretty good workaround for when I need to quickly change chords which are sustained underneath a lead or bass line I'm playing with both hands on another synth. I'm really looking forward to the TEO-5 (and already have it preordered) because it seems completely ideal my gigging setup, in every way except that one!

Thanks for considering, and sorry if this is too off-topic -- feel free to move to a general feature request thread if one ever exists for this synth. I just didn't want to try to start one for my first ever post here. :)

This is an interesting one! I'm not exactly sure how it would be implemented with the way things currently work, but I will add it to the TEO-5/Take-5 list.
