Would have thought this would go up around the same time? Is it in a secret place?

Hi! You'll find the addendum link on the OB-X8 product page, in the same group of links for the manual, OS update, software editor, etc.:

Are there MIDI CC's for new parameters and are they published anywhere?

The User Guide on the support site is not even up-to-date with previous firmwares.  It is at Version 1.2 from May 2023.  For instance, it is missing updates like Page 2 Portamento Destination or any mention of the Page 2 quick scroll method.  The German User Guide appears to be more recent and have more content (dated June 2024).

Yes, of course I’ve seen the addendum.  It’s right there with the other documents.  I just find it odd that there is a German User Guide Version 1.3 and the English version is still 1.2.  Moreover, the PDF documents have odd version naming — I’ve seen two documents with names containing “2.1” and “2.2” with identical contents of User Guides “1.2”.

Just makes me wonder whether some of the support site PDF files or links were messed-up and never corrected.

BTW, I really dislike the modern support habit of _removing_ older documents from the site and indeed having no archives.

Complaints aside, I am finding the Oberheim guides to be well written.  Much more readable and more interesting than many manufacturers who use repetitive and obvious, boiler-plate text.

The numbering conventions are a little odd, agreed. They are mostly to version the guide itself, and don't always/necessarily relate to instrument OS numbers. Generally, a translation gets versioned, so that explains what you are seeing with the German manual. And thanks for the kind words!
