Dedicated split/stack groups

Based on the new OB-X8 2.0 firmware, I just made the follow request to Sequential. Please drop them a line to request this if you’d also like to see it implemented as the more people who ask for it, the more consideration is likely to be given to it.

if this is not already actively being worked on, I’d like to make the request to add extra dedicated preset “groups” for split/stack presets, in the same way that you recently added the split+/double+ banks to the OB-X8 2.0 firmware. As the current groups run 1-5, you could add 6-9 or even 6-10 (with 10 being represented by 0, like it is in the tuning routine on the 10-voice version). Like the OB-X8 implementation, these new groups would not be pointers to the base patches, but rather unique locations whose parameters could be modified and stored without thereby altering the original patches which were used to populate them.

Hi,

It is nice to have this feature on the OB-X8. On the other hand, many modern workstation synths don’t have this behaviour with multis/combis/etc either, so that not having it on the Prophet is not really a big deal.

It’s in the Sunnit and I make liberal use of it. It’s a far superior way of working and if they can add it to the Prophet, so much the better.
