CC vs NRPN

CC vs NRPN

Does anyone know, why NRPN is used?
The number of parameters is not so high and the max value range of the parameters is 0-120.
Why should anyone use NRPNs instead of simple CCs?

Curious how many Rev4 owners are using MIDI CC instead of NRPN?

I noticed that in split/stack mode the synth uses different NRPN numbers for layer B (so each layer can be independently controlled). Looks like CC only affects layer A. I'll stick with NRPN.

I’m aware of the better NRPM that the manual state as preferable, but use CC as it corresponds to my DAW easier with CC numbers for automation.
