Drumtraks Repair - How To Get the Numeric Pad Switch Caps Off??

Hi, I am trying to get the Drumtraks switch caps off from the numeric keypad switches. So far out of three attempts, I broke two of the "legs" on the "0" key and on the forward increment key; so I can't continue to pry. Does anyone have any tips? Should I just pry up the top cap buttom, then somehow that gets me better access to the bottom of the cap? Endgame is to remove/replace all 19 switches. I've safely removed the other 7 non-numeric keypad switch caps; they came off easy. But these numbered ones are really giving me grief! : )  Thanks, Karma

I suggest using a plastic pry tool or keycap puller to gently lift the caps, applying even pressure to avoid breaking the legs. If the caps are stubborn, warming them slightly with a hairdryer can make the plastic more pliable.

Use the Right Tools: A switch puller tool is ideal for this job. If you don’t have one, you might use a flat-head screwdriver, but be very cautious to avoid damaging the switches or the surrounding area.
Apply Gentle Pressure: If you’re using a screwdriver, gently pry up the edges of the switch cap. Work slowly and evenly around the cap to avoid putting too much stress on any one point.
Heat Application: Sometimes, gently heating the area with a hairdryer (on a low setting) can soften any adhesive or make the plastic more pliable, which can make the switch caps easier to remove.
Check for Clips or Tabs: Some switch caps may be secured with small clips or tabs. If you can, look closely to see if there are any that you might need to release before prying the cap off.
Remove the Top Cap First: If possible, try to remove the top of the switch cap first. This can give you better access to the mechanism below and might make it easier to lift off the remaining part of the cap.
