Hi, all

Well, it took me a long time to get 5 minutes to look at this!

I now have a beta version of px.factory able to read all Prophet X U, F and A banks, and rename existing U banks to F or A banks. I have done a test write of one of my patches to A4 P1 and it seemed to work fine.

One of my questions before completing the work is would it be best to have these extra banks hidden by default and only enabled if you adjust a setting to make them visible, maybe in my MIDI Preferences Dialog
  • Show F Banks
  • Show A Banks

Which would allow a degree of control, if we feel that writing into these banks is an advanced feature, or you just want A banks accessible and leave F banks as they are (so do not want to see them in px.factory).

Or would you want to have to all U, F and A banks visible and selectable at all times?

My instinct is to have some means of selecting which bank sets are available, but thought I would mention the progress and ask for opinions.

Derek

I wouldn't mind them being accessible but I definitely want to be able to propagate the A Banks with any purchased presets and libraries to free up the U libraries where I can write and save anything I create.

Hi

I've been chipping away in the background, and this is what I have come up with in the attached image. I decided not to "get clever" with hiding the Factory and Additional Banks, but the option is there to do that in future.

I just need to do some final testing, update the documentation and then I can release this.
