Ghost notes or Held note?

Ghost notes or Held note?
« on: December 12, 2023, 09:36:40 AM »
Everything was working fine last night...I came into the studio today and hooked midi up to PT and it worked for a bit.  Then I started getting a weird ghosting note on not all but most presets.  Like a midi loop basically.  But I unplugged usb cable, turned on and off, reset the global parameters, recalibrated.... and it its still there.

Any ideas what to try?  Im confident its user error as im new to this thing.

Not PT specific, but here's a guide on MIDI feedback loops that might be useful. https://support.sequential.com/hc/en-gb/articles/12826311546642-Troubleshooting-MIDI-Feedback-Loops

And here's a quick SW guide on using external hardware with PT. https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/setting-up-external-instruments-in-pro-tools/#Configure-Pro-Tools-MIDI-settings

You'll likely need to adjust your DAW/session configuration, and possibly adjust the MIDI settings on the synth to avoid a feedback loop. FWIW, calibration is only for oscillators/filters, and a Global Reset just sets all Global fields to their default values.

Good luck!
